Security on the Internet/Web
Posted on November 28th, 2007 at 9:24 am by Administrator

Although we hear of most companies having specialized security programs and features on the internet information still gets stolen and is used against their very owners. Identity theft and many crimes that lead to fraud over the internet is growing and becoming a major concern for more and more people. Take the case in Britain where a junior officer of one government agency was able to download files relating to half the population from a highly secure government web site, burns it onto two disks and sends them through courier to another government agency and the disks are never heard from again. This example of security breakdown highlights the need for stricter enforcement of online security for data and other vital information.
